SYS 2011 continues to go strong. On the East side, Andy at the Lake Dallas Church of Christ reports that they had 250 in attendance. On the West side, Brian at the Highland Church of Christ reported that they had 240 in attendance. There was a serious accident near the exit for the Highland church which forced some groups to turn back and delayed the start of SYS till 7:30. Several groups were having VBS, mission trip and camp this week, so strong and growing numbers are expected through the summer.
Next week (June 28) the Lewisville Church of Christ will host a combined event. Everyone is advised to leave a little extra time for traffic. If you ordered t-shirts in the 2nd order they have arrived and will be distributed at Lewisville. Reed Swindle, the youth minister at Lewisville, will be the speaker and they are planning to serve pizza.
