SYS Kickoff – June 5 – 7:00pm

SYS speaker Joshua Kidd and his family.

We are excited as the kickoff of SYS 2012 gets closer and closer.  The first event will be at the Brown Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie.  Brown Street (formerly College Street) Church of Christ has an energetic, loving body of church members who will put together a great SYS event.  The speaker will be Joshua Kidd from the Lee Acres Church of Christ in Tupelo, Mississippi.  Josh will introduce the 2012 topic of “Truth Be Told” with a lesson titled “Don’t Be Fooled.”

The Brown Street is trying to kick off SYS 2012 with a bang by getting 800 people to attend the first event.  This will only be possible if every church brings all of their kids, and if we have a good number of visitors.  Let’s do our part to help Brown Street reach their goal!

Summer Youth Series 2012: Truth Be Told

Summer is quickly approaching and we are excited to announce plans for SYS 2012.  The theme this year is “Truth Be Told.”  In so many areas of our lives there are people trying to convince us of right or wrong.  During SYS 2012, we will open the Bible and let the ‘truth be told.’

The schedule is already set, topics have been assigned and we are expecting great things this year.  Here is a sneak peak at the schedule:

June 5 – Brown Street (Waxahachie) – “Don’t Be Fooled”
June 12 – Meadow View (Mesquite) – “Lies of the Media”
June 19 – W. Mansfield / White Rock – “I Can Wear What I Want”
June 26 – Bridgewood (Fort Worth) – “One Church Is As Good As Another”
July 3 – Northwest (Fort Worth) – “Social Drinking”
July 10 – Mesquite – “Abstinence”
July 17 – Grandview / Balch Springs – “This Money Is Mine”
July 24 – Handley (Fort Worth) – “Homosexuality”
July 31 – Lewisville – “The Sinner’s Prayer”
August 7 – Keller – “The End Times”

As you probably noticed, the majority of this years events are combined.  We hope that this will be encouraging to our teenage participants.  Our goal in 2012 is to provide high quality events that our teens will be excited to invite friends to.
